Position Specifics

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate, licensed school nurse to join our team.

As a nurse in a K-12 school, you will play a vital role in providing healthcare services to students and staff, ensuring their well-being during school hours. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their overall health and safety.

The nurse provides medical care and assistance to students in accordance with established protocols and guidelines, and conducts health screenings, including vision and hearing tests. You will administer medication to students as prescribed, and maintain accurate medical, including immunization records and medical history. The school nurse collaborates with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs, and provides emergency care as needed.

Minimum Position Requirements

The school nurse must hold a valid Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina and possess the ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations. Candidates must be certified in CPR and pass a background check as required by state law.
